PaintSteps Privacy Policy

PaintSteps stores your painting projects, imported reference images, thumbnails, preferences, paint inventory, custom palettes, mixing recipes, and tutorial cache locally on your device. Pulsar Games does not operate an account system for PaintSteps and does not receive this local data.

Deleting PaintSteps removes data stored inside the app's container, subject to Apple's device and backup behavior. Images or documents that you separately export remain wherever you chose to save or share them.

PaintSteps accesses only the images you choose through Apple's photo picker. Your images are processed on your device to create painting steps, palettes, grids, and color-mixing guidance. PaintSteps does not upload your photos or generated tutorials to Pulsar Games or to an external image-processing service.

The optional PaintSteps Pro purchase is processed by Apple through StoreKit. The app receives purchase entitlement and transaction status from Apple on your device so it can unlock Pro features. Pulsar Games does not receive your Apple ID, payment-card details, or other payment credentials.

Apple processes purchase information under the Apple Privacy Policy.

When you export a PDF tutorial or step images, PaintSteps creates those files on your device and presents Apple's system sharing interface. PaintSteps sends a file to another person, app, or service only when you choose a destination. That destination handles the file under its own privacy practices.

PaintSteps does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, does not show ads, and does not track you across apps or websites. The app does not sell or share personal information.

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, screenshots, and relevant troubleshooting details. We use it only to respond, investigate issues, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Please do not send private reference photos unless they are necessary to diagnose your request and you are comfortable sharing them.

We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, and legal purposes. We may disclose it when required by law or to protect users, the app, or our rights. We use reasonable safeguards, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.

PaintSteps is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information through a support request can contact us to request review and deletion.

We may update this policy when PaintSteps, its service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date below identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel when required.
